Learner Feedback Automation for Moodle & LMS
Automated learner feedback processing and uploads to Moodle and LMS platforms, with learner data management and confirmation emails.
Challenge
Education providers often manage learner feedback manually before it can be uploaded to Moodle or other LMS platforms.
Staff need to collect feedback from Google Drive, identify learners using their name, learner ID, and email, clean and standardize feedback text, organize the information, and upload the completed feedback into Moodle/LMS systems.
After the upload, learners also need to be notified that their feedback has been successfully added.
This manual process is repetitive, time-consuming, difficult to scale, and can lead to data-entry or upload errors.
Solution
We built an automated Moodle and LMS learner feedback workflow using n8n, Google Drive, JavaScript, APIs, and HTTPS integrations.
The automation retrieves learner feedback from Google Drive and processes each submission automatically. It extracts and organizes key learner information such as name, learner ID, and email while cleaning and standardizing the feedback text.
The workflow connects with Moodle and other LMS platforms through APIs and HTTPS requests, allowing processed learner feedback to be uploaded without requiring staff to manually handle every submission.
Once the feedback has been successfully uploaded to Moodle/LMS, the automation sends the learner a confirmation email informing them that their feedback has been uploaded.
The workflow can be adapted for colleges, schools, universities, training providers, and online learning platforms using Moodle or other LMS systems.
Results
The solution replaced a repetitive manual Moodle/LMS feedback process with an automated end-to-end workflow.
Feedback can now move from Google Drive through data cleaning and organization to Moodle/LMS upload with minimal manual intervention.
The system also automatically maintains structured learner records and sends confirmation emails after successful uploads.
This helps education providers reduce administrative work, improve consistency, minimize manual data-entry errors, and create a scalable process for handling larger volumes of learner feedback.
